About Hooked Gifts & Boutique

My name is Kylee Mattingly, and I opened Hooked in 2023 at just 19 years old, shortly after graduating high school. I discovered a cozy location available beside the Pier Restaurant and decided to take a leap and open my own gift shop.

Before launching Hooked, I participated in local craft fairs where I sold handmade crochet Plushes—a passion that sparked my interest in owning a retail space. Initially, my shop focused on unique gifts and handmade items. As my vision grew, I became inspired to incorporate clothing into the store, although space limitations delayed that expansion.

In 2024, I was thrilled to expand Hooked and introduce clothing to our offerings—a decision that brought new energy and excitement to the business. Now in 2025, Hooked continues to thrive as a warm and welcoming destination for gifts and apparel, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next.
